Since I started working at home, it's quite obvious that I have greatly minimized my trips to the mall and other public places. All errands needs to be planned and have to be completed at one "go." This also paved the way for me to love online shopping and even food delivery.

Thus, whenever I see a new merchant available, I get excited. Unfortunately, this new online marketplace is not yet available here in Bacolod but I'd like to share my latest discovery to my readers in Metro Manila.

They provide a centralized approach to marketing and sales for these vendors plus the logistics capacity to pick up items from their pick up point and ensure same-day or next-day delivery to the end-customer via our its logistics network.

There are a lot of things to love about them:

Bacolod Blog Series: 21 Restaurant

Whenever you pass by Lacson Street here in Bacolod, one restaurant will definitely catch your attention because of the beautiful interior design visible from the windows. 21 Restaurant, whose name speaks for its location is near the 21st Street.

It provides a fusion of Filipino delicacies combined with Italian and American favorites. It is a place ideal for cozy meetings while enjoying good food or even with just coffee and pastries.

We came a round 12:30 pm and most of the lunch crowd had ordered their meals. Just a heads up, you might want to come in a little bit early since the food preparation may take some time.

The food was good but nothing really fancy. We ordered Chicharon Bulaklak as starters.

Chicharon Bulaklak - Php 150
I enjoyed their Gambas eventhough it was a bit spicy for me.
Gambas - Php 255
Val liked the Kinilaw -- the mixture was just perfect.
Tangigue Kinilaw - Php 210
It was my first time to try their Crispy Kare-Kare. The sauce and bagoong was really good.

The Baby Back Ribs was quite sweet for me though it was really soft and tender.

Bacolod Blog Series: Calea Pastries and Cakes

Bacolod City is now officially our home! After our "epic journey" traveling by land, we have finally settled down. (Hooray!) More details on the road trip, here.

Now, our next stop is to explore this place since Masskara Festival will be celebrated in a few months specifically in October. I have decided to create a blog series featuring our latest discoveries in this beloved city.

I love sweets and I'm really crazy about desserts. So, my first featured post is all about Calea Pastries and Cakes.

Whenever you mention where's the best place to have cakes, locals would immediately mention this place. Known as "the home of the country's best cheesecakes", Calea Pastries and Cakes should be on top of your itinerary whenever you visit Bacolod.

They offer a wide selection of cheesecakes, imported chocolate cakes, refrigerator cakes, and muffins which will make you go gaga on what to choose.

Here are some of our favorites.

Strawberry Cheesecake

Blueberry Cheesecake

Oreo Cheesecake

Chocolate Mousse

I won't go over a detailed review of how they taste but I'll tell you. Everything is so good.

But can you guess what's the best thing about their cakes? They are super affordable. Each slice is around Php 95 only. They also offer coffee and blended drinks just like your typical coffee shop.

Calea has several branches in the city: Robinson's Place Bacolod, The District/ Ayala Northpoint, and the main one at Lacson Street.

So, next time you're in Bacolod, consider dropping by here. Just a heads up. This place is really popular among tourists so, it gets pretty crowded sometimes.

Top 5 reasons why you should visit Mrs. Graham's

Val and I were in Tomas Morato area and decided to look for a place to hangout while waiting for our dinner appointment. Since traffic was bad, we decided to just find a place near the vicinity. A cozy place caught my attention and we decided to check out Mrs. Graham's.

And guess what? I immediately fell in love with it.

Here are top five (5) reasons why you should visit Mrs. Graham's:

1. They offer the best french macaron in town. Not to mention they have a lot of flavors to choose from. My faves are the salted caramel and ensaymada.

2. Aside from macarons, they also offer cakes and coffee.

3. They offer board games that you can enjoy for free. Val and I spent the afternoon playing "Snakes and Ladders" which I believe is a great change.

4. They have free wifi. I guess all establishments should offer that now.

5. Lastly, they have awesome decorations. They provide the perfect ambiance for hanging out with friends. The place is not crowded which I really love.

I highly suggest that you plan your next hangout session with the girls at Mrs. Graham.

What's New? Apo ni Lola's Durian Pie

There is no doubt that I love Apo ni Lola Durian Delicacies. Aside from a wonderful customer experience whenever I visit their store in Matina, their products are definitely the best durian pasalubong you can ever find.

That is why they truly deserve their latest award from the Golden Globe Annual Awards as the Best Durian Pasalubong Treats Provider. One of their secrets to the success is constant innovation. Their product line has grown from durian candies to ice cream, preserves and now pastries.

The Apo ni Lola Durian Pie is something durian lovers would surely enjoy. Its crust is just perfectly baked and the creamy filling will surely ease up your durian craving. It is so creamy and delicious. Definitely, a must-have pasalubong and I guarantee that it is worth every peso you spent on it.

So, what are you waiting for? Visit Apo ni Lola Durian Delicacies and grab the durian pie as a pasalubong, snack or dessert.

Sakura Season at Tokyo Bubble Tea : Cute, Delicious and the Perfect Fusion

Val and I both love to eat out however, we actually do not agree much on food choices. I am a fan of pasta, sweets and steaks while Val, on the other hand loves Japanese and Mexican cuisines.

So, can you imagine our delight when visited Tokyo Bubble Tea and saw their amazing menu?! It was a perfect place for us because both our favorites are available plus it's Sakura Season.

For appetizers, you can choose from their Tokyo Side Treats, Salads and Maki Zuchi selection.

We had Takoyaki which is an absolute favorite from their menu. It is super yummy and not the typical takoyaki that we can buy from malls that is just filled with vegetables. Tokyo Bubble Tea's version is a real one. Takoyaki literally stands for "octopus in batter."

Takoyaki - Php 178 (8 pieces)

Tofu Steak is a must try especially for those who are health conscious. :)

Tofu Steak - Php 158

Tuna Sashimi is really fresh and delicious though we are going to try the Salmon Sashimi next time.
Tuna Sashimi - Php 160
The Bulgogi Nachos is a sure treat to be available in a place that specializes in Japanese cuisine. It's the perfect pica-pica and Val was so happy because we all know he is a nachos addict.

Bulgogi Nachos - Php 245

But since it's Sakura Season in Tokyo Bubble Tea and they want people to experience Hanami and see the cherry blossoms, a visit wouldn't be complete without the Sakura JCC Milk Teas. They have Sakura Royal Milk Tea (highly recommended!), Sakura Strawberry Milk Tea and Sakura Taro Milk Tea.

Sakura Royal Milk Tea - 125 (Large)
What's special about these milk teas is the Sakura Spin on the typical Tokyo Bubble Tea and the Japanese Cheesecake Cream (JCC) which is a sweet and smooth topping that gives these drinks an extra zing.

Ofcourse, it's not all about milk teas and appetizers. If you are hungry, the Sakura Bento Trays can satisfy your rumbling bellies. You can choose to have Sakura Soy Ginger Fish, Sakura Chicken Katsu and Sakura Ebi Furai with Hamburg. Each tray comes with a main course, miso soup, fried rice, Sakura salad and Sakura maki.

Sakura Soy Ginger Fish - Php 328

Sakura Chicken Katsu - Php 368

Sakura Ebi Furai with Hamburg - Php 388
If I were to describe the Sakura Tray, I would say everything is delicious. The salad, fried rice, maki and soup are perfect together with your choice of main course.

And since I love sweets, our meal wouldn't be complete without dessert. I love that Honeybon Pastries are available in Tokyo Bubble Tea. They have a wide selection of really yummy cakes.

So, go ahead and have the cutest, most kawaii and definitely yummy Hanami experience at Tokyo Bubble Tea. Whether you are in for a light snack, full meal or simply craving for sweets and milk tea then, Tokyo Bubble Tea is the perfect place to visit.

Don't forget that their Sakura Season menu is only available for a limited time and they have an ongoing promotion for customers who mix and match these Sakura drinks and trays. One can pick a prize from their special sakura tree and can win exclusive Tokyo Bubble Tea merchandise featuring Bubblets: Sakura, Midori and Ichiban.
