Growing Up Successful with the Help of ATC Evening Primrose

When we were young we’ve been bombarded with the question “what do you want to be when you grow up?”  And though it practically changed every year as we grew older, one thing’s for sure, we all wanted to be successful. Times has changed, modern women now has control over different aspects of our daily lives. You see women government leaders, CEO’s, and creators. Women pave paths for themselves now, we see women making rules instead of just blindly following rules made for them.

I still remember that way back in high school that I had a bad case of PMS while taking the college entrance exams. It was really hard to focus and concentrate. Though this is something that we cannot avoid, we can't just simply allow this "girl thing" to stop us from becoming successful and give us unnecessary stress during the important phases of our lives. I know I could have gotten a better mark if I was feeling well that time.

Now, I have the peace of mind that it won't happen again because of ATC Evening Primrose.

ATC Evening Primrose relieves premenstrual syndrome and breast pain associated with menstrual cycle. It also helps alleviate hot flashes caused by menopause and reduces symptoms of eczema and dermatitis. Each softgel capsule includes 487.5mg Evening Primrose Oil and 12.5mg Vitamin E. Recommended dosage is one softgel per day with warm water after meal.

There are also researches that says Evening Primrose is used for preventing high blood pressure during pregnancy, asthma nerve damage, endometriosis, obesity, weight loss and hormonal imbalance. (Some of which I am guilty right now!)

Thus, I would be always be thankful to ATC Evening Primrose because we can all be strong modern day women. Now, nothing will get in the way of doing what we love and we can now do well in it without worrying about "the girl thing"

This is available in leading supermarkets and drugstores nationwide. Suggested retail price is Php 6.00 per softgel capsule. For more updates and promotions, you may visit their facebook page

Bacolod Blog Series: 21 Restaurant

Whenever you pass by Lacson Street here in Bacolod, one restaurant will definitely catch your attention because of the beautiful interior design visible from the windows. 21 Restaurant, whose name speaks for its location is near the 21st Street.

It provides a fusion of Filipino delicacies combined with Italian and American favorites. It is a place ideal for cozy meetings while enjoying good food or even with just coffee and pastries.

We came a round 12:30 pm and most of the lunch crowd had ordered their meals. Just a heads up, you might want to come in a little bit early since the food preparation may take some time.

The food was good but nothing really fancy. We ordered Chicharon Bulaklak as starters.

Chicharon Bulaklak - Php 150
I enjoyed their Gambas eventhough it was a bit spicy for me.
Gambas - Php 255
Val liked the Kinilaw -- the mixture was just perfect.
Tangigue Kinilaw - Php 210
It was my first time to try their Crispy Kare-Kare. The sauce and bagoong was really good.

Crispy Kare-Kare - Php 235

The Baby Back Ribs was quite sweet for me though it was really soft and tender.

Baby Back Ribs - Php 290
Our experience was okay but was not also remarkable. We just liked the ambiance and location of this restaurant. They also have free WIFI. Recommended budget: Php 500/ person

Filipinos are Generally Happy. Are you of one of them?

According to a Gallup poll in March 2015, Filipinos ranked 5th among the happiest citizens of the world. Do you agree with this? Are you happy with your life? How do you feel about your future? Are you family members hopeful or gloomy?

These are the questions that I have on my mind when I read the report. Do you still feel the positivity despite all of the problems and adversaries you may have.

Well, if you can't answer the question or still undecided about your current situation. Then, I have good news for you. With the Brighter Life Index: Social Sentiment or BLISS, Sun Life will show how optimism, prosperity, and the bayanihan spirit can produce a positive ripple from ourselves to our loved ones and to the community where we live.

We do not have to dwell on our current situation but rather our Filipino community can help us maintain and share the "blissful" attitude to everyone and be part of this positive change in our respective communities and spreading the happiness starting with the use of social media.

BLISS is a Facebook application that aims to get the pulse of Filipinos about their current financial situation as well as their outlook for the future. “BLISS gives us the canvas to paint our #LiveFreePH campaign.

Through everyone's participation, we can seek the brightest spots while also determining the areas that are in need of a bit more sunshine,” explained Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. Chief Marketing Officer Mylene Lopa. “Together with the Sun Life Foundation, we will help turn dim prospects to bright opportunities.”

How does this work?

Through crowdsourcing, BLISS gathers insights directly from consumers by asking Filipinos about their current state and their outlook for the future. Responses will be collected primarily via Facebook.

The results will be embodied by a map of the Philippines, where positive sentiments will be represented by sunny weather, while negative ones will be indicated by thunderstorms. This will be updated real time, with different aggregations available for viewing.

Amazing, right?

This is not just limited to a study but applied in real life too.

The Sun Life Foundation pledges to match survey responses with a donation to help localities with bleak outlooks, as indicated by the stormy icons in the results map. Inspired by the practice of bayanihan (communal work), the initiative translates insight to action, via the information that will be shared by online users. So, the sunshine will be experienced in real life and not just in the cyber space.

“Sun Life Foundation believes in action that is powered by insight, and we’re bringing that to the social media platform through BLISS,” said Sun Life Foundation Executive Director Anne Zillah Flores. “We’re taking it further by actually responding to the gaps that will be determined. We will fund projects to help communities with bleak prospects so they can adopt a brighter outlook.”

BLISS to #LiveFreePH

From the present to the future, BLISS narrates the changing story of Filipinos from multiple points of view: self, family, and community. Income, health, and work-life balance are identified as personal concerns; food, nutrition and financial security comprise the familial territory; while access to quality education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities are the societal factors that impact the nation as a whole. When addressed properly, these concerns can become the building blocks of a nationwide movement towards financial independence.

“From BLISS, we lay down the blueprint of #LiveFreePH – to practice foresight by being conscious of our needs while sharing the benefits of living the brighter life,” Lopa said. “We hope that by working together towards financial freedom, we can create a story of a prosperous and optimistic nation, because in our journey to financial freedom, we can go far if we go together.”

So go ahead and share the BLISS to help communities in need and get the chance to win awesome prizes like an iPad Air. Go to http://bit.ly/1hDBxhn to begin.

SAP Business One for Small and Medium Enterprises

Constant innovation, change and advancement is the key to survival in the highly competitive business world. Growth and expansion of the business should not overwhelm the enterprise but rather it must be accompanied by development in human resource as well as in organizational systems and tools.

Enterprise resource planning should be on top of the priorities of the Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) and it is highly recommended that they utilize a highly reliable ERP system such as SAP Business One.

SAP Business One can help them manage their respective businesses and automate many back office functions from accounting, CRM, supply chain management and purchasing.

But the big question is where do you get SAP Business One in the Philippines?

Mustard Seed Systems Corporation, a business solutions provider company for Small and Medium Businesses, is one of the major partners of SAP in the Philippines.  They believe that it very important that the country's SMBs would be properly equipped with the right systems and tools is in preparation of the ASEAN Economic Community (ASEAN integration) starting this year. Mustard Seed is among the few providers of SAP Business One Philippines that offer very affordable rates for those who would want to implement the system.

According to Osler Fajardo, Managing Director of Mustard Seed, they take pride in their very simple and out-of-the box way of implementing SAP Business One in two steps which sets them apart from other providers. They make sure that the make the implementation as simple as possible and they make sure that the selling cycle as short as possible too.

SAP Business One has a robust array of features.  Businesses may not be needing the whole full pack features of SAP Business One in practice. Thus, by being open to the clients as to what can be delivered and what the limitations of the implementation are, the whole process can be streamlined and a direct implementation pattern can be made. Mustard Seed will make sure that it will be tailored-fit depending on your business' needs.

If you want to find out more about it, Mustard Seed will be present at the Asia Food Expo (AFEX) 2015 at the World Trade Center Manila from September 9-12, 2015.

For more information, you can also visit their website at www.mseedsystems.com, contact them at +63(2)535-SEED / 63(2)535-7333 or visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mseedsys.

Top 6 Reasons Why You Should Attend the BDJ Beauty Social 2015

Moving to a new, strange place without friends can be quite depressing however, it was not the case for me when I moved to Manila in 2010. A WAHMderful Weekend that Changed My Life. Find out how it can change yours too.

I have been your typical employee for more than 8 years. Right after college, I was dutifully employed in a non-government organization for 3 years having to work as a technical writer, researcher and a project development officer. Then, I decided to do a career shift in the BPO industry which enabled me to assume different roles in a span of 5 years as HR personnel and as a CSR/TSR/Sales Specialist.

I do not regret anything about working in these industries. Actually, I am very thankful that the different roles led me to acquire a skill set that has been helpful in my journey through my work-at-home career. Though it took me a while to figure out what I really want to do for a living, I am thankful for the WAHMderful Weekend that changed my life.

It all started when I won an invite from DSM/ Quality for Life Philippines, one of the sponsors of the WAHMderful Weekend 2013. I did not know anyone who was going and I only got an invitation for one.  It was my first time to attend an event full of strangers alone. With a leap of faith and uncertainty of why am I attending -- I went there because I was curious to find out more about working from home.

The first person I met was Ginger Arboleda who was very friendly and I did not know that she was one of the organizers. She gave me a kit and I seated at the farthest table at the back. I was just listening to the speakers but did not really participate in the Q&A portion.

On the later part of the program, there was a mini-group discussion with respective facilitators depending on the topic you are interested. I couldn't remember all the groups but I decided to join the group of Marge Aberasturi and Jennifer Tan who talked about being a VA or a Virtual Assistant. They gave us a background on Virtual Assistance and how to get clients. They also discussed what skills are on demand, etc.

After a month, I was able to land my first VA job for Full Life Cube with Best author and inspiration speaker Teresa Gumap-as Dumadag and then the rest is history.

Now, I am happy being a freelancer who works from home handling different clients as a virtual assistant. I am also able to manage my online party store and had started my own blog, My Metro Lifestyle.

Indeed, it was one event that totally changed my life and I would be forever thankful for attending it. And now, I am inviting you to attend it as well and find out how it change your life too.

The Work at Home Expo 2015

The WAH Expo is an annual one-day event of talks and mini workshops focused on encouragement and empowerment of Filipino home professionals and those aspiring to be one. This is not just limited to virtual assistants but anyone who is working from home as a entrepreneur, freelancer or even planning to be one in the future. The Work at Home Expo 2015 is the best place to find out and get more information about working at home, network and meet people whom you can work or collaborate with.

This is will be held on September 26, 2015 at the Bayanihan Events Center, Pioneer St. Kapitolyo, Pasig City. For more details about the program, scheduled talks, you may visit their official websiteThis is brought to you by Manila Workshops and the WAHMderful community.

Once again, I am encouraging all of you to attend this expo and find out how it can change your life. If you don't want a career shift, it is also a good place to meet new and WAHMderful friends.

A Tech Store That Can Make Our Dream Come True

When we moved to Bacolod,Val and I decided to have a simplier life which actually made our plans and goals change. In the next 3-4 years, we are hoping to have the sustainable and organic farm that we have always dreamed about. We were inspired to have this after watching this video from you tube.

It shows a perfect model for urban sustainable agriculture. It features organically grown food enough to feed their family and actually sell to local consumers, bio diesel technology, claypot irrigation system and solar panels.

We are hoping to realize this dream and become a model to our communities that change is possible. However, it was a surprise to find out that a tech store can help us actualize this project by providing affordable solar panels and lights.

I am happy to announce that CDR-King, a one-stop media provider introduces another green technology as it brings solar powered outdoor lights available in the market. With a 6-hour solar charging, it can give hours of light throughout the night.

What's good about this is that, the investment is only minimal and you can save on your electricity bill in the long run. Apart from that, the usage of solar energy will ensure that we will never run out of energy especially now that there is a looming energy crisis that led to rotating brownouts in Mindanao and Visayas.

CDR-King Solar Powered outdoor light features:

·         Solar Panel: 15V/15W

·         Lithium Battery: 37Vah

·         LED Power: 4W

·         LED Drive Current: 220mA/pc

·         Static Power: 0.064W (MIcrowave induction)

·         Detection angle: 140'360

·         Number of lights: 6pcs

·         Lumen Value: 600-720lm

·         LED chip: Bridgelux

·         Color Temperature: 3000-6500K

·         CRI: 75Ra

·         Light Control Voltage: 3V

·         Sensor Area: 1- meters

·         Charging Time: 6 hours

·         Working Time: 3 rainy days

·         Working Temperature: -20 degree - 60 degree

·         Lifetime: 5000 hours

So, go ahead and visit your nearest CDR-King branches nationwide to check on other Solar-powered products. It is about time we switch to renewable energy.
